The Language of Serenity

إني أُجيدُ الصَّمتَ حينَ يَضيقُ بي

فالصَّمتُ أحياناً يكونُ وِقاءَ

لا أستبيحُ القُربَ إلا هادئاً

فالقَلبُ لا يرضى الضَّجيجَ لِقاءَ

أمشي إليكَ بغيرِ صَوتٍ ظاهِرٍ

وأرتِّبُ الإحساسَ فيكَ خَفاءَ

لا تَخشَ شَيئاً إن رَأيتَ تَردُّداً

فبعضُ القُلوبِ يَخافُ حُبّاً… لا اعتِداءَ

أعرِفُ أنَّ القُربَ يُربِكُ مُهجةً

ويُعَلِّمُ الأرواحَ شَوقاً ورَجاءَ

فإذا رَأيتَ تَباعُداً مُتَقارِباً

فهو الحَياءُ… وليسَ عَنكَ جَفاءَ

ما كُنتُ يَوماً في المَوَدَّةِ مُثقِلاً

أو كُنتُ بالإلحاحِ أرجو اشتِهاءَ

لكِنَّني أُعطي الأمانَ بِسَكينةٍ

حتى يَصيرَ القُربُ مِنّا دِفاءَ

إن جِئتَني مُتَرَدِّداً… فتَقَدَّمْ

سَتَجِدُ الطُّمَأنينَةَ الغَنّاءَ

لا شَيءَ يُفرَضُ في القُلوبِ وإنَّما

نَمضي إلى ما نَرتَضيهِ رِضاءَ

The Language of Serenity

I know the art of silence when I’m confined,

For stillness is a shelter, safe and kind.

I never seek a heart with noise or rush,

For love prefers calm steps, not clothes of fear and hush.

I come to you with footsteps soft and light,

And fold my hidden feelings out of sight.

Do not be troubled if you see me pause;

Some hearts fear love itself — they mean no cause of harm.

I know how nearness shakes the quiet chest,

Yet teaches trembling souls to hope and rest.

If distance seems to bring us side by side,

It is not coldness — only modest pride.

I never weigh down love with restless need,

Nor force desire beyond its rightful seed.

I offer safety, peace, and quiet grace,

Until our closeness turns to warm embrace.

So if you come with doubt within your eyes,

You’ll find where gentle peace forever lies.

No heart is won by force or by command;

Love blooms where two free souls together stand.
